Concert Updates for March!

hey snco! here's some updates on concerts for the month of March! ;)

1) 淡生乐韵

* This is the concert 刘老师 talked about during Dazu last week! As you can see, they're playing a number of songs we're all familiar with so it'll be good exposure if you guys watch it :)

2)Dunman High School Guzheng Ensemble's 筝贴你心弦 / HEARTSTRINGS

4) SYCO Concert with SCO - 少年之锐 (Dauntless Spirit 2012)

"In this annual concert where the Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra (SYCO) shares the stage with SCO, it is another showcase where SYCO would perform classics such as Dragon Leaps to the East by Tang Jian Ping and Bian Ba by Liu Xing. This concert will be conducted by Mestro Tsung Yeh and SCO Associate Conductor Quek Ling Kiong."

5) SCO's 一到八 / Solo to Octet
Date: 9 (Friday) or 10 (Saturday) March 2012

Venue: SCO Concert Hall

"This chamber concert features SCO musicians- from solo to octet- performing an assortment of ancient tunes and modern pieces that will leave the audience spellbound. Among the repertoire tonight is the famed French oboist, Jean-Louis Capezzali, an advocate of chamber music who will perform with the SCO a piece by Chen Qi Gang titled Extase. In addition, the orchestra ensemble will play Sound Games, an aural feast of cymbals, gong, wooden block and drums at their grandest."

6) Great Masters of Chinese Music
Date: 25 March 2012, Sunday

Venue:Esplanade Concert Hall

曲目: 古琴:《流水》,《平沙落雁》/ 笛子:《喜报》,《节日舞曲》/月琴:《赛马》,《渔歌》/三弦:《黑士歌》/二胡:《二泉映月》

"Ding Yi Music Company, presents a special concert filled with nostalgia as the 4 Great Masters of the Chinese art music scene narrate the story of their musical pursuits through their repertoire. Featuring Southern school Dizi master - Lu Chun Ling; Guqin successor- Gong Yi; Erhu master - Wang Guo Tong and Yueqin poet- Feng Shao Xian, the concert will showaces their efforts in spearheading the development and popularization of these instruments."
