WE DID IT!

THANK SO MUCH FOR THE EFFORT PUT IN!
We all know that the stress experienced by everyone here was exceptionally great this year since we all know that when we perform, we were no longer doing it for ourselves. We were doing it for the school, for liu lao shi, for the teachers, for the seniors! Here, i would really want to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, be it a performer or not! The effort put in in practising, the time sacrificed, the recess skipped, the frequent gastric pains, ALL THAT WE HAVE GIVEN TO SNCO, will never be forgotten and will be remembered by everyone else.

We worked this out together as an ORCHESTRA, not an individual, not a section or an ensemble! The credit of this wonderful achievements goes to EVERY MEMBER! without anyone from a section, the whole orchestra would start to panic, and we would all start to question our abilities. All these are because we are so used to making music altogether, as a whole 120-strong group.

Remember how we started out in a secondary one classroom with only pipa, liuqin, zhongruan, dizis and suonas?
Remember the panic attacks when liu laoshi screamed as us?
Remember the times we groan when liu laoshi says "chun jiang" and the "omg"s when he says "shui zhi sheng"?
Remember the silence and the pale faces when huo laoshi conducts?
Remember the hairspray which stinks up the room?
The bus that was so late we wanted to hack the driver?
The shaking on stage when you realised that IT WAS IT?
The TENSION when the results were announced from the first school?
The momentary BLANK OUT when the emcee reached "No. 42...."?
THE HYSTERIA WHEN THEY READ OUT OUR RESULTS? (which was - as expected -  covered by screams and tears)

Tonight, we made history, we made what we believed in HAPPEN!
Up till now, i am still living in a state of disbelief, and a load of withdrawal symptoms.
BUT HEY, WE DID IT! WE REALLY DID IT!

As the saying goes " When ST NICKS is at her best, NO ONE comes close".
THIS is how true it is.
